However, the direct USB-C to USB-C cable doesnt work with the keyboard.

If I adapt the USB-C to USB-A and then back to USB-C, it DOES work, or if I use the original cable that came with the keyboard and go from USB-A adapted to USB-C, it also works.

Anyone have any thoughts or potential solutions TL;DR: GK61 Keyboard doesnt work with MacBook Pro USB-C unless first adapted to USB-A.

Many keyboards use the port but are not true USB3USB-C, its old USB 2 over the same connector.

Short of looking into how the USB-C devicehost system works and hand making your own cables with the necessary parts inside, basically replicating whats happening inside the adapter, it aint gonna happen.
